The privacy policy for Vine & Tide on Android. No account, no location permission and no ads; itineraries stay on your phone, and weather is fetched for a fixed town in each region, never your position.

This policy covers Vine & Tide for Android, a Long Island wine country day planner. There is no account, and your whole itinerary is stored on your phone so the app opens without a connection. The app never asks for your location. The studio-wide policy for every app we make is at aquariusmobilestudios.com/privacy.

1. The short version

Local-first · No location

• No account, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifier.
• No location permission. The app cannot read where you are.
• Your itineraries, stops and group stay on your phone.
• Weather uses a fixed town for each region, never your position.
• We do not sell or share your data. We never receive any.

2. No location

Vine & Tide does not request location access and cannot read your position. Routing is ordered from the winery list itself, not from where you are.

3. What stays on your device

Your itineraries, saved stops, group roster and preferences are stored on your phone and are never uploaded. Names you type into your group roster stay on the device. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it deletes all of it.

4. What connects to the internet

• Weather. To show conditions for a region, the app asks Open-Meteo for a forecast using a fixed town coordinate for that region, such as Cutchogue for the North Fork, never your own position. Open-Meteo sees your IP address, as any web request does.
• App updates. The app checks the Expo update service at launch, which sees your IP address and the app version.
• Purchases. Google Play handles optional purchases (§6).

Tapping directions or a winery's website opens Google Maps or that website outside the app, under their own privacy policies.

5. Reminders and sharing

Trip reminders are scheduled on your phone, with no push service and no server. Sending your day to a group chat or a Story hands the text or image to your phone's own share sheet; it does not pass through us.

6. Purchases

The app offers optional one-time purchases through Google Play, which processes the payment; we never see your name, card number or billing address. Whether you own a purchase is stored on your device, and Google Play remembers it so you can restore it on a new phone. Google's handling of your purchase is governed by the Google Play Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

7. What we never collect

Your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera input, calendar, health or financial data, advertising identifier, browsing history or any biometric data.

8. Your rights and choices

Because the app sends us nothing personal, we hold no personal data about you to give you, correct or delete. Everything it keeps is on your phone, and clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it removes it. You can remove the notification permission in your device settings at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR (EU/UK) or the CCPA/CPRA (California). We honour them; there is simply no data on our side for them to apply to. We do not sell or share personal information.

9. Children

Vine & Tide is a planner for visiting wineries and is meant for adults of legal drinking age. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
