This policy explains what Hurricane Calendar collects and why. Hurricane Calendar is made by Aquarius Mobile Studios, operated by EMSO Inc. The short version: nothing that identifies you. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and your settings, saved storms and personal dates are stored only on your device. Questions go to support@meetamsai.com.
Hurricane Calendar (“the app”) is a history app made by Aquarius Mobile Studios, an independent app studio on Long Island, New York, operated by EMSO Inc. (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the app, including its web version, and describes how it works today.

Everything you set up in Hurricane Calendar is saved in your browser’s local storage on the device you use, so the app remembers it next time:
The information above is never sent to us or to anyone else. We can’t see it, and there is no copy of it on any server.
The app also reads your device’s time zone so it can show dates in your local time. The time zone is used on your device and never sent.
To show the storm archive, maps and imagery, the app downloads public files. None of these requests carries your settings, saved storms or personal dates.
Like any website, each of these servers receives standard technical information with every request: your IP address, your browser and device type, the time, and the file requested. For maps and imagery, that shows which area and date were being viewed, not who was viewing. NOAA, NASA and OpenFreeMap handle this information under their own policies; we don’t receive it from them.
The service that hosts Hurricane Calendar may keep logs of these requests for a limited time to deliver the app, keep it secure and fix problems. We don’t use them to identify, profile or follow anyone, and we don’t combine them with any other information.
The app has no account and no sign-in, and it never asks for your name, email address or phone number. It doesn’t access your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or advertising ID, and it asks for none of those permissions.
There are no ads, no analytics, no crash-reporting services, no social-media trackers and no cookies. We don’t sell, rent or share personal information, and we don’t use it for advertising.
When you share a storm, your device’s own share sheet or clipboard handles it. We don’t see what you share or who you share it with.
Anniversary reminders are calendar files (.ics) created on your device and added to the calendar app you choose. We never receive them.
Links to the official forecast centers and to sources open those organizations’ own websites, which have their own privacy policies.
“Report a suspected error” on a storm’s page opens your email app with a new message to support@meetamsai.com that names the storm and the archive version. Nothing is sent unless you press send, and you can change the message first.
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use them only to reply and to correct the storm data, we never add you to a mailing list, and you can ask us to delete your messages at any time. Our email runs on Google Workspace.
The current version of Hurricane Calendar has no payments or in-app purchases. If an optional paid upgrade is added, this policy will be updated before it launches to explain how purchases are handled.
Hurricane Calendar is a general-audience history app and isn’t directed to children under 13. It doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, children included. If you believe a child under 13 has emailed us, contact us and we’ll delete the message.
You control everything the app stores, without asking anyone:
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom, or under California law — you have rights to access, correct, delete and move your personal information, and to object to how it is used. The app keeps your information on your device, so you can exercise those rights there yourself.
The only personal information we hold is email you send us, which we use to answer you. Contact us about it and we’ll respond within 30 days. We don’t sell or share personal information, and the app doesn’t track you, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Every connection the app makes uses HTTPS. Data on your device is protected by your device and browser; anyone who can use your unlocked device can open the app and see your saved storms and personal dates.
If the app changes what it stores or sends — for example when the Android app is released — we’ll update this policy before the change takes effect and revise the date at the top of this page.
